Mike Sandorse, the parachutist for the 352ndFG, said he had his own area or building for hanging chutes and it's located on the blueprints somewhere but I don't remember exactly where it is.

Greetings All,
I tip my hat to the thoroughness of your approach to the map of the channel.
Clearly you have the skills of an able modeller in Mr. Champ, and the work he is doing seems to be topnotch. As I am new to this site, I must ask that if comments such as the following are not welcome, please let me know and I will desist.
These will relate more to the '43 map than the '40 Channel.
I have been an advocate for developing radar as a functioning entity in the IL2 simulation realm, unfortunately I have no computer code or graphic skills to marry with my desire for historical accuracy, and so I am no more than a voice of enthusiasm.
I have always felt that the German early warning system - which as far as I know ultimately surpassed the allied in terms of technical proficiency - has not been represented within the WWII flight sims with which I have experience, and while their application was primarily to combat the night bombing campaign, the fixtures were certainly across western Europe, and must have presented targets of importance to both allied strategic and tactical bombers and fighter bombers.
My request is really that at least the physical models of the various types of radar facility employed by the Germans are included in the modelling considerations for a complete European Map. They are quite different looking from the British Chain Home devices and in my opinion their inclusion would provide another tier in the realm of historical realism.
If you as a group have already taken these into consideration, I apologize for being redundant, when you clearly already have a lot on your plates. If not, I would be happy to provide a few references (strongly recommend "Luftwaffe Handbook" by Alfred Price) which would detail the structure and deployments of German radar facilities.
A few key devices to consider representing would be : Wasserman, Freya, Wuerzburg "D", Wuerzeburg Reise, and Optical Rangefinder stations.
Also consideration should be made to understand the layout of a Himmelbit Station - a radar facility of combined different radar equipment.
Again, if this is off topic, or not along the lines of discussion supported here, please let me know and I will desist.
Best of luck with all your projects.

You are not alone in your desire for "working" radar. There is an effort afoot and some preliminary action being taken to 'evolve' or 'simulate' some sort of radar into IL2 so keep your fingers crossed. The Chain Home High and Low antennas are available in-game toady, and I have seen some attempts to create the Wurzburg antennas. We also need the US SCR antennas as well. Of course, at this stage they are 'objects' only, but soon (we hope) some 'functionality' will be imparted to these objects so that at the very least they can simulate 'radar' functionality.
Once the initial "nut is cracked", then maybe "Ship Radar Systems" may appear...who knows....
The more people who 'demand' this capability, the more action will be taken to look into it...............
