Hi guys thought I'd post these up here.  Our latest couple of buildings from our RAF Airfield set.

Best regards,

Both of them look just like the brick firehouses you would see in the midwest.
Different towns with different designs for their firehouses.

They look nice Booze.

One very minor observation about the damaged building.
The damage looks too uniform to me and not "random" enough.
If it is indeed a damaged building.

Thanks Wheels, that was actually method 1.  I'm still new to this 3d modeling stuff and these buildings were my first effort from scratch.   However I have some pretty good instructors and have been taught some new methods for the damage modeling and keeping the polygon counts down.  So the damaged models here have alreay changed.  But all the buildings will have a proper damage model and shadows attached.

Sounds good Booze.
I know learning on the fly can make things much more difficult.

with Booze you probably mean "learning on the crash".  Just ask the folks in the control tower.

All looking great chaps. On the subject of buildings, I have been re-reading Al Deere's great book 'Nine Lives' and noticed that he described RAF Hornchurch in 1940 as having 3 aircraft hangars. He also said there was a tall laundry chimney to the north-east which was a good reference point for poor weather flying. I say this just in case Hornchurch is not yet 'signed off'. Please don't let my suggestions delay things any more!!  Wink
