Wheels you will be in good company.  I took out the Tower during my initiation ceremony when I first joined the 352nd and these guys NEVER let me forget it.  I was on final approach when a HUGE gust of wind blew the tower directly into my flight path as I was just touching down, darn the bad luck.  So I accepted my duty station sitting in my cockpit sideways on the runway.   Grin

PPanPan thanks for the info on Hornchurch.  Its already completed but we'll use your additional info for reference in the late War map.  Many thanks.

"I was on final approach when a HUGE gust of wind blew the tower directly into my flight path as I was just touching down"

Well, there are 'stories', then there are 'fishing stories', then there's 'little white lies', then there's 'lies', and then there's just 'damn lies'......

This one falls in the last category!!

Yup, I was there too, and saw the whole thing.  Those poor guys in the tower ...... their families will never get over it.  Oh the infamy of it all!  The sinister cackle in Booze's voice as he headed straight for the tower!!  It reminded me of the laugh of Professor Fate in "The Great Race".

Ahh, isn't he such an Angel?
How could you possibly shoot at him?

Obviously Oscar and Pers MUST have me mistaken with someone else with a similar incident.   Grin

Would you like to see the trak of the incident?  That should decide once and for all who "tells stories" and who tells the truth.
In fact, on any given night, Booze can routinely duplicate the event as he has yet to learn to control his approach.

Oh yes my approach.     My approach is usually accompanied by the assistance of bullets and canon shells from behind, usually received from my good friends above.   laugh

One of my better landings recently.
All I can say is that I didn't hit the tower.  Grin

Can't see anything wrong with that Wheels - looks like a perfectly fine landing to me. Although, if I was being picky, I would say you are slightly off the centre line  Wink
